Jack

Hello everyone! My name is Coach Jack Bradley.Growing up, starting around the age of 7 I was a multi-sport athlete. I have run cross country and track, threw shot put and discus, played soccer, lacrosse, baseball, and I wrestled. I guess you could say athletics is in my blood and has been a crucial aspect of my life since I was young. By the time I got to 7th grade I had dropped just about every sport except for shot put and discus because that’s what I wanted to focus on in my athletic career. By 8th grade I had qualified and competed in the USA Track and Field Indoor National Championships and established myself as a top 5 shot putter in the nation for my age. In my career I was a 2x AAU Junior Olympian for both shot put and discus, and a two time All-American(4th and 5th places) at the USA Track and Field Indoor Nationals. Around 8th grade I also gained a huge interest in football. Freshman year of high school I was supposed to go out for my first ever year of football and was on track to break my high school’s shot put record and would get very close to the discus record. Unfortunately, the summer before my freshman year of high school I was diagnosed with a genetic muscle disorder; sadly, ending my athletic career. Although upset and disappointed a once very promising career was ended, I found my purpose in life. I truly believe that my purpose in life is to carry on in sports, and be a coach for the youth of our society. My goal in coaching is to pass on knowledge and wisdom through knowledge and experiences I’ve gained through both sport and life. Although working in sports, my primary goal when coaching is to prepare my athletes for life, for academics, for the important aspects such as how to handle yourself and the situation itself when a challenge arises. I put a strong focus and emphasis that there is more to life than sports. I’m still improving my knowledge of life and the sports I coach, especially football with each passing day, but it has yet to stop me from fulfilling my goals of coaching and doing what I love. I learn from my athletes as much as they learn from me. I have been coaching for about 7 years now since my freshman year of high school in both football and track and field. I’ve coached NFL Flag Football League in Mendham, Twin Boro Bears Football(Mendham’s rec football team), Mendham Magic(Mendham’s rec track and field team), and I’ve worked with Mendham High School Football.
